Claudio Zaffari has been managing director of the Zaffari Group since 1971. The company was founded in 1935 by Francisco José Zaffari and his wife Santina de Carli Zaffari in Erechim, Rio Grande do Sul. Today, the group owns a chain of supermarkets and hypermarkets in the founding state and in São Paulo, as well as shopping centers located in several cities in the southeast region of Brazil.
