Maria Eduarda Camargo, a Brazilian with a business degree, and Emilly Ewell, an American chemical engineer, are cofounders of Pantys, the first brand of absorbent panties in Latin America. The first products were launched in 2017 and were initially sold only online. In 2019, the partners opened a store on Rua Oscar Freire, in São Paulo, and in the same year launched a line in partnership with Johnson&Johnson, designed to be the most affordable absorbent panties in the world.
