The richest woman in Mexico, head of Tresalia Capital, which she founded after the sale of brewing giant Grupo Modelo, lately looks more to Spain than to Mexico with million-dollar investments in the luxury real estate sector. Mariasun’, as the businesswoman is known, holds interests in AB-InBev, Tory Burch and Kraft-Heinz. In August 2021 she sold her stake in technology firm Kio Networks to I Squared at an estimated US$1 billion, according to Bloomberg News. Aramburuzabala does not ignore the startup ecosystem, and through Tresalia she has funded automotive unicorn Kavak and furniture retailer GAIA.
