Since 2020, Luis Pablo Ceriani is president of Aerolíneas Argentinas, the country’s flag carrier. During the pandemic, Ceriani has led the campaign to find vaccines against the coronavirus acquired by the state, managing dozens of flights to Russia, China and Europe. An economist by training, Ceriani had already passed through the offices of Aerolíneas Argentinas between 2013 and 2015, serving as vice president. According to the company’s balance sheet, in 2021 it had a negative result of US$438 million, US$229 million less than the US$667 million recorded in the 2019 balance sheet.
