Santiago Salem Kronfle is the president of Industrial Pesquera Santa Priscila, which in 2021 hit several milestones, becoming the first private company in Ecuador to surpass the US$1 billion barrier in exports in a single year, the first non-oil company to generate foreign currency for the state, and becoming the largest exporter of shrimp to the US. In just 10 years, its sales increased from US$125.4 million in 2012 to US$1 billion in 2021 (including US$5 million from the sale of tilapia).
