Sergio Fogel

Sergio Fogel is co-founder of dLocal, a digital payment solutions company focused on emerging markets. The company, which started operations in 2016, became Uruguay’s first unicorn in 2020 and went public on the NYSE in 2021. Fogel, who also founded Astropay, also participates in open banking solutions developer Datanomik. The fintech co-founded with Gonzalo Strauss, former product manager at AstroPay, closed a US$6 million seed round in March.
