Stéphane Maquaire

Stéphane Maquaire is CEO of Carrefour Group Brazil since September 2021. The executive has worked since 2019 at the French retailer, where he was also CEO for Argentina. Maquaire has been leading the Brazilian operation following the acquisition of the Big Group (ex-Walmart) for R$7.5 billion, which was completed in 2022. One of his challenges has been to integrate Big’s operation into Carrefour’s. He graduated from the École des ponts ParisTech, in Paris, one of the most prestigious engineering schools in Europe.
