The company’s vice president for Latin America since February 2021 is responsible for articulating the strategy to distribute the vaccine against the Covid-19 virus in Mexico, developed together with the University of Oxford. In August 2022, Mexico’s drug regulatory body Cofepris authorized the emergency use of AZD 7442, a drug for the prevention of Covid-19 in adults.
