DJ Alok is the most-listened-to Brazilian in streaming and one of the most influential movers in electronic music: he has 22 million monthly listeners, has chalked up 3.2 billion streams on the biggest platforms and has 28 million followers on Instagram. Recently, he received 30 million reais (US$6.1 million) to cede his image to a game - of which he donated 27 million reais (US$5.5 million) - and invested 500,000 reais (US$101,500) in a project to encourage Black entrepreneurs, and launched a brand of low-cost audio equipment with the goal of reaching 10% of the market in the country in two years.
