Deusmar Queirós made a move that caught the attention of the market and investors alike when Pague Menos bought Extrafarma for R$700 million, being the 6th largest pharmacy chain in the country in terms of number of stores and sales. Analysts are optimistic about the deal because Pague Menos’ results have improved over the past two years after the turnaround. The same is expected at Extrafarma. In addition to changing the revenue scale of Pague Menos, it consolidates the leadership of the Deusmar Queirós chain in the North and Northeast.
