Gustavo Grobocopatel is the son of the founder of Los Grobo, one of the main agroindustrial companies in Argentina. In 2016, he sold 70-75% of the company to Victoria Capital Partners for US$100 million, keeping the rest of the shares with his sister, Matilde. Although he resigned as president of the company and settled in Uruguay in October 2020, the “king of soybeans” continues to be an authoritative and influential voice in the Argentinian agricultural sector.
