Chileans Daniel Undurraga and Juan Pablo Cuevas, along with Swede Oskar Hjertonsson, hit a milestone in mid-2021. The entrepreneurs sold 100% of Cornershop startup to Uber. With the acquisition, the company reached a value of US$ 3 billion, becoming the first Chilean unicorn, leaping into the international market. Created in 2015 with an initial capital of US$ 300,000, Cornershop expanded in several cities like Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Brazil, Costa Rica, Canada, and in the USA.
