Heir to a lineage of businessmen, Zambrano Benítez is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Grupo Proeza, a Monterrey-based conglomerate with interests in automotive auto parts, citrus, technology and mobility investments. After a career of more than forty years in the company, in August 2020 he decided to retire from general management, passing the leadership to Leopoldo Cedillo Villarrea, who until then headed its subsidiary Metalsa.
