Ailton Krenak

Ailton Krenak is a writer, researcher, environmentalist, and indigenous leader. Krenak is the organizer of the Alliance of the Peoples of the Forest, which brings together riverine and indigenous communities in the Amazon, and a commendatory of the Order of Cultural Merit of the Presidency of the Republic, an honorary doctorate from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora, in Minas Gerais, and one of the main Brazilian and international indigenous leaders.
