Following her departure from the presidency of DuPont Americas in February 2021, Claudia Jañez continues on her career path as independent director at América Móvil, the telecommunications company of Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim. She is also a director of the financial group HSBC Mexico, Grupo Industrial Saltillo and Impulsora de desarrollo y el empleo en América Latina (IDEAL).
