General Manager of BBVA Mexico since 2015, the largest bank in the country’s financial system, his career at the bank began back in 1994. This year, he has directed the bank’s management towards the recovery of credit, the expansion of digital services and continuity in the technological innovation agenda. Despite the slow post-pandemic recovery, the Spanish bank’s Mexican subsidiary has remained the driving force of the group. The recovery in the country’s economic activity in the first half of 2022 has been reflected in the total loan portfolio, which reached a balance of close to MXN$1.4 billion, equivalent to an annual growth of 13.2%. The bank will now have to prepare for the competition that may arise in the retail segment with the purchase of Banamex.
