Claudia Bejarano

In an industry largely dominated by men, Bejarano set a precedent by becoming the only woman in Colombia at the helm of a mining company in operation in 2020. She began her career at Cerrejón more than 30 years ago, working her way up through the company’s ranks, and where she has stood out for leading community consultation processes in strategic projects.
