Owners of a fortune close to US$770 million, the Torrado family controls the restaurant operator Alsea. The company, which is listed on the Mexican Stock Exchange, showed that its financial results for the second quarter of 2022 exceeded pre-pandemic levels by 25.9% in sales. Alsea is also moving in the direction of sustainability with the opening of the first Greener Store in Latin America, located in Santiago, Chile, and which is designed to use 50% less water and produce 20% fewer carbon emissions.
