Alberto González is the first Cuban chef to win a Michelin star, the highest recognition in the world of gastronomy, which he held between 2007 and 2009 while working at the Italian restaurant Sauro. After living a few years in the European country, he returned to Cuba in 2013 to found his bakery Salchipizza in downtown Havana to honor his heritage and stand out by making baked goods with pizzazz.
