In June, Alexandre Bettamio was appointed global co-head of Investment Banking at New York-based Bank of America, becoming the first Brazilian to achieve such a position among the world’s largest banks. The executive was previously BofA’s CEO for Latin America, a position in which he stood out for leading the bank in advising mergers and acquisitions in the region and leading the growth of the corporate segment at a time of capital market slowdown.
