André Esteves is one of the most experienced and influential bankers in the country. He is the main shareholder and chairman of the board of BTG Pactual, the largest investment bank in Latin America, where he has worked since 1989, when it was still Pactual. He has been at the forefront of the bank’s growth process, especially since 2009, when BTG Pactual was founded. He maintains a close dialogue with the government, as had been the case with his predecessors. Two years ago, he launched Inteli, a non-profit educational institution conceived with his wife, Lilian, and Roberto Sallouti, CEO of the bank. To this end, he made a donation of 200 million reais (US$40,600).
