Blas Zapag is the owner of Copetrol, a major fuel distributor in Paraguay with 360 service stations. He is also involved in the country’s largest private investment in history: a US$3.2 billion cellulose pulp mega-plant, which will create 40,000 jobs. By 2023, the “PARACEL” project is expected to produce five to eight times more than Argentina’s largest mill.
