Daniel Darahem is JPMorgan’s CEO for Brazil as of mid-2020, after succeeding José Berenguer. He came from the US bank’s Hong Kong operation, where he spent five years and was responsible for equity capital markets. He also worked for seven years in New York for JPMorgan, where he has been since 1997. During his tenure, in 2021, the US bank acquired a 40% stake in C6 Bank, as part of the digital platform model that has been one of the bank’s priorities, at the time the second-largest retail operation outside the US.
