Fabio Faccio’s career is linked to Lojas Renner. The executive joined the company as an intern in 1999, was store manager in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, moved to regional manager, then assumed general store management until becoming director and, finally, CEO of the company in 2019, when he replaced José Galló, who had led the company for 20 years. Renner closed 2022 with net retail revenues of R$11.57 billion, US$2.379 billion (up 21% from 2021) and net income of R$1.29 billion, or US$265.2 million (+104%). Despite the positive results, the company faced a credit crisis in 2023 that affected several retail companies in Brazil. In May, the group reported the closure of some 20 units, 13 of them of the Camicado brand, focused on household utensils and decoration. In total, the company then had 652 stores in the country. Faccio holds a degree in Business Administration from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP) and an MBA in Retailing from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV/SP).
