João Roberto Marinho is CEO of Grupo Globo, Brazil’s largest media company. He was elected president in 2021. He has a fortune estimated at US$1.8 billion, according to Forbes. In addition to being a leader in television, Globo has one of the largest streaming platforms in Brazil: Globoplay. The group has optimized its structure by cutting costs to reduce debt and has entered the OOH (out-of-home) segment, acquiring a minority stake in Eletromídia, a national leader in outdoor media.
