Juan José Chacón-Quirós

He is the CEO, founder, and board director of the Costa Rican companies Establishment Labs S.A. and Establishment Labs Holding Inc., the latter with a market value of approximately $1.8 billion, according to Bloomberg figures. The companies led by Chachón-Quirós manufacture state-of-the-art breast implants and medical devices that are exported to more than 80 countries. In his involvement in the sector, he worked in the distribution of medical products for aesthetics in Latin America. In addition, he is the author and co-author of more than 50 patents related to medical technology. In both 2017 and 2018, he received the Entrepreneur of the Year award in Costa Rica. Prior to leading these companies, Chacón-Quirós was president of the Costa Rican Rugby Federation and currently serves on the board of directors of Sudamérica Rugby and on the board of directors of the Latin American and Caribbean Business Forum.
