As president of Grupo Energía Bogotá, he has led the energy transition of the main company in which Bogotá has a shareholding. He has been key in the discussions on how this process should take place, especially in a region such as La Guajira, which represents many challenges due to the relationship between the companies and the indigenous communities. He is an economist from the Universidad de Los Andes, has master’s degrees in economics, finance and mathematics from Yale University, in the United States, and is a PhD candidate in economic development from the same university. He is a former director of the Dian and has worked at the IDB and DNP.
