Caicedo is considered one of the most promising athletes in women’s soccer and continues to pave the way for new generations, amid the obstacles still facing this category in Colombia. Linda Caicedo dazzled in the Copa América 2022, in which the Colombian national team finished second, and in February she was announced by Real Madrid as their new player. The athlete also had an outstanding participation in the U-17 World Cup, in which Colombia also came second after losing against Spain. The former Deportivo Cali player arrived at the Spanish club as a free agent after terminating her contract with the Colombian team.
