Luis Perez Companc is the Chairman of the Perez Companc Group, whose companies play a leading role in the agribusiness and energy sectors. The Perez Companc Group entered the business world in 1945, with the company Perez Companc S.A. in the Energy sector. Then, in 1999, it ventured into the food sector, when it acquired the company Molinos Río de la Plata in Argentina. Currently, Luis also leads the companies Molinos Agro and Molinos Río de la Plata. The group’s companies are strong: for example, Molinos Agro, focused on the processing and marketing of oilseeds and grains, obtained this year loans from the IDB for US$250 million to finance its operations and exports.
