In the midst of the discussions on the energy transition plan of President Gustavo Petro’s administration, the executive has played a key role in the debate by defending the role of natural gas and the importance of carrying out a responsible process in which self-sufficiency is ensured. Luz Stella Murgas is one of the most relevant voices regarding the participation of women in the energy and hydrocarbons industry today. In Colombia, natural gas reaches more than 10 million connected users, including industries, businesses and homes. In the last five years, it represented an average of 56% of the fuels used for electricity generation.
