Since 2019, Vargas has been executive chairman of the now called Grupo Arribada N.V. (formerly Grupo Britt N.V.), after being CEO for 19 years and being linked to the company for the last 30. The executive was an intern in 1990 and joined the company full time in 1992, when the organization was in its expansion phase. The company now groups four main brands: Délika Gourmet, Morpho Travel Experience, Café Britt and Conceptos Gastronómicos. Rebaptizing the brand was a concept defended by Vargas as an inspiration in the “wonders of nature” and a reflection on the importance of preserving the environment. The Group is present in 13 countries in Latin America. In his time away from the business world, Vargas practices triathlon and enjoys family activities with his three children and his wife Ana Beatriz, in Santo Domingo de Heredia, Costa Rica.
