The singer who hails from from the state of Jalisco has 48.8 million monthly listens on Spotify and his song ‘Ella Baila Sola’ reached the first place of streams globally on the platform. His music has generated controversy for references to drug trafficking, violence and luxury brands. Even the president of Mexico has criticized the music genre that has reached the U.S. market with Peso Pluma as a guest on comedian Jimmy Fallon’s show.
