Rodrigo Azevedo has been a partner, co-CIO (Chief Investment Officer) and director of macro-strategy at Ibiuna Investimentos since 2010. He was director of monetary policy at Brazil’s central bank between October 2004 and April 2007, and director responsible for the areas of markets, banking operations, payment system and international reserves management. He was also director of Anbima between 2009 and 2012, partner at JGP, chief economist at Credit Suisse in Brazil and senior economist at investment bank Garantia. Azevedo holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of São Paulo (USP) and a master’s degree and PhD in economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (USA).
