Sergio Pérez achieved in 2011 what no other Mexican racing driver had done since 1981, becoming the first Mexican to return to compete in the Formula 1 championship. ‘Checo’ Pérez has been signed by Sauber F1 Team, Mclaren Mercedes, Sahara Force India and after years of proving himself with flying feats and podiums, in March 2021 he made his debut with Red Bull Racing in the Bahrain Grand Prix, and for whom he currently races. In 2022 he became the first Mexican to win the classic Monaco Grand Prix and throughout his career he has a total of 6 wins, 3 poles, 10 fastest laps and 32 podiums, of which 6 have been so far in the 2023 championship. “I’m at my best”, said the driver in 2023.
