Otávio Lage de Siqueira Jr., president and director of Jalles Machado, a sugar and ethanol producer in the state of Goiás, successfully floated his shares on the B3 stock exchange in May last year, focusing on plans to increase sugarcane production. He is president of the Association for the Industrial Development of the State of Goiás and leads the world’s second largest producer of organic sugar and the largest exporter to the North American market.
